Kim Greenwood is President of Greenwood Productions, Inc. which has held the State Licenses for the MISS USA & MISS TEEN USA State Pageants in Tennessee, Georgia, and Mississippi. She serves as the Executive Director of all three state-wide events and has just celebrated her 30th anniversary with the Miss USA/Miss Universe Organization.
Kim was Miss Tennessee USA in 1989 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. As a young performer, she traveled to over 20 countries and entertained the U.S. troops on four USO tours including a tour to the North Atlantic where she met her husband, entertainer, and Grammy award winner Lee Greenwood. The Greenwoods are very involved in their community, their church and serving veterans through the non-profit organization, Helping A Hero, which builds homes for wounded veterans. Kim was honored in 2021 to be asked to serve as a board member of Victoria’s Voice founded by David and Jackie Siegel of Orlando after the accidental overdose of their daughter Victoria. Kim joined the Victoria's Voice board due to her concern about our nation's youth and commitment to open mental health discussions with the young women in her sphere of her influence as well as finding the resources needed to navigate mental health challenges. Kim has dedicated her career to mentoring, advocating for, and empowering young women to future success.
The Greenwoods have been married 33 years and have two sons, Dalton and Parker, and reside in Franklin, Tennessee.
Kim has served as an Executive Director with the Miss USA Organization since 1993 and has served on the Miss USA Advisory Council. Kim’s mission statement for her company is to encourage personal excellence in young women by pushing them mentally, physically, and spiritually to be their best. Her goal is to encourage each young woman to gain more self-awareness, self-confidence, individual pride, and social awareness while also building a sisterhood that is committed to uplifting and empowering one another, acting as a catalyst for future success.
